Bale In The Justice League? No Thanks!

dccomic-justiceleague-jpg_175656Over the weekend, rumors hit the internet, via Latino Review, regarding the much talked about (and equally maligned) Justice League film the guys at Warner Bros. keep trying to produce. The film, which was originally slated to be released years ago, is reportedly trying to tie to comic book franchises THE comic book franchise that they’ve had success with, Batman. After originally wanting to start fresh with new faces in the roles of the heroes of the League, DC is reportedly backtracking and is trying to convince Christian Bale to don the cowl once more. Supposedly, the fellas at the WB want to use the upcoming Man of Steel as a launchpad for a JL movie, much in the way Marvel did with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, with Bale apparently making a cameo in Man of Steel. Facebook Needs Changes

delete-your-fake-facebook-friends-on-national-unfriend-day-video--dfe7cce9c1Remember when you were a kid and got drug to family reunions where aunts would pinch your cheeks and say how big you’re getting, the amount of affection your grandma would show you would border on incest, but you would tolerate it all because it meant you got to hang out with your older, cooler cousins? This is essentially what Facebook has become. We have to navigate through the thick weeds of “friends” just to get updates on the people we really care about.

As a part of my morning ritual, I usually peruse through Facebook to see if I missed anything from the previous night.  I live in the Central Time Zone and go to bed when most of my friends in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones are probably wrapping up dinner, thanks to a 5:00 a.m. CST wake up call. So I know a lot of stuff happens after my day is over, so I use the following morning to catch up on any notable events. Read more…

Matt’s Super Bowl Challenge!

I have been hosting a Super Bowl party for the last 8 years, and it is one of my favorite things to do. Normally I plan a very good menu because you need some food to go along with all the beer (This year there may be a lot of beer as “My” Forty-Niners are in the big game). I like to prepare something as a main dish and then ask all my friends to bring side dishes to go with it (This year I am going to be doing a taco bar). My day normally starts out by turning on ESPN in the morning to listen to the coverage of the game. I go into the kitchen and begin to make the food while I listen to “Mike and Mike” on Super Bowl Sunday. I spend all day long cleaning the house and making the food while listening to the non-stop coverage of every part of the game.

A few years ago, I realized that the game is not just about the game, this is an American holiday! People who never watch football with watch the Super Bowl (This is why the game should take place on a Saturday, but that is an article for a different day). Many of my friends that came over were just as interested in the commercials as I was interested in the outcome of the game. Therefore, I decided to take my football party to the next level. I created a Super Bowl Challenge that can be enjoyed by the fans of the game and the fans of the marketing professionals paying a few million dollars for 30 seconds. This challenge is fun for everyone!

For the first time ever, I will be sharing my challenge with all of you. Please feel free to print these questions off and give them out at your party. I normally give out a prize to the winner, but that is totally up to you. Read more…
